Hello my lovely ONEin3ers. I am in a very good mood today. Not only was this weekend amazing but I able to enjoy the continuing good weather by being able to work from home (aka my roof deck) today. To say the least, Devin is a fabulous internship boss and if you haven’t applied to be his summer intern yet, you are missing out.
This morning I got two bits of news. First, my health insurance went up as of January. Because I lack the attention span to read all my mail, I had no idea and hence continued to pay the previous amount. As a result they shut off my prescriptions.
As annoying as it is to deal with health insurance customer service people early on a Monday morning I think the most annoying part is that I am required to pay $60 more a month. For the record, my brother, who is on an individual plan as well, but in California pays close to $60 TOTAL a month for his health insurance. Blasphemy.
The weather and an article my loving boyfriend sent me counteracted the annoyance I felt for a fleeting second. In San Francisco, a taco place offered their customers free tacos FOR LIFE if they tattooed the shop’s logo on any part of their body. As a marketing person, this is intriguing in terms of return on investment and all that fun stuff. Also, in reference to amazing Matt Brownwell’s article, I think getting a tattoo to get free burritos may be the ultimate act of frugality…am I right?
