October 4th, 2010:

A Penny (or iPad) for Your Thoughts

Hey penny-pinching, coupon-clipping, financially savvy ONEin3ers!

We need some of your thoughts on ONEin3 Money and your ever growing wallet. And what does the survey say?!

Survey says: There will be TWO winners. A netbook for YOU! And an iPad FOR YOU! (make that sound as good as Oprah).

So do yourself (and us) a favor and spend 3 minutes on the survey at the bottom of the page.

A little background:

Once upon a time (last September, actually), we received a grant to deliver financial health education to you- ONEin3. Here’s what we did:

  • Built ONEin3Money.org (now is ONEin3Boston.com/money)
  • Partnered with Mint.com for donated marketing materials and had a launch party for 100 of you with the CEO Aaron Patzer
  • Found and brought you the fabulous Jennifer Lane for five free ONEin3 Money Neighborhood Nights, NECN
  • Worked with the Money Bus on City Hall Sq where some of you sat for an hour with a financial adviser

We hope you love what we did, but we need to know for sure. Part of the grant requires analysis in the form of a survey from YOU!

ONEin3 Mayor’s Advisory Council Wants to Know - Where Should We Focus?

Friday we asked you for pet photos because it was Friday afternoon. On Monday, we’re getting down to business.

Tonight is the second meeting of the 2010-11 ONEin3 Boston Mayor’s Advisory Council. This group represents all of us to Mayor Thomas M. Menino, his senior staff and other decision-makers at the City and beyond.

In other words, they can make things happen. In other other words, it’s really important that they use this opportunity to get the right things done.

This is where you come in.

What should this year’s Council be especially focused on? What are the most important issues facing 20-34 year-old Bostonians and how can we best address them?

Answer in the comments!
