It’s Friday, so what could be better than a little info on an important and somewhat unknown City department that can help you?
NOTHING!
Anyway, about 75% of us ONEin3ers rent, which means that knowing our rights and dealing with our landlords is very important.
That’s where the Rental Housing Resource Center comes in. Their Good Neighbors Handbook is a fantastic, if unwieldy, resource that’ll walk you through everything from security deposits to first and last to pets to how to file a complaint. If you’ve already had a problem with your landlord, the RHRC will help mediate your dispute for free. And to all you landlords who have bad tenants, they’ll help you too!
It’s a place that we all should know about.
Oh and if you’re interested in buying a home, check out the Boston Home Center. All the info and resources you need.
