Buy Yourself a Valentine for the Jimmy Fund

For those singles who say Boston is a tough place to meet people – to which I heartily disagree – we can now provide you at least one opportunity on one night where that’s certainly not the case.  And if that’s not enough, it’s for a great cause with over $11,000 in prizes for your single and not-so-single friends alike.

I give you this Friday night’s 2nd Annual Project Cupid Date Auction benefiting the Jimmy Fund.  (7pm to 10pm at Whiskey Park in the Park Plaza Hotel, with a suggested donation of only the reasonable amount of $15.)

Twenty-one of Boston’s finest bachelors and bachelorettes will be auctioned off one-by-one to raise money to combat pediatric leukemia. Each bachelor and bachelorette will be auctioned off along with a complimentary meal at a local dining establishment. In some cases, the date may also include tickets to a local sporting event!

Immediately after the date auction there will be a brief live auction for prizes from the Celtics, MAC cosmetics, the Charles Hotel, Injeanius, and Lucky Strike/Jillians followed by a raffle with over $11,000 in available sports tickets, restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, and other products from Boston companies.

No tickets necessary to be purchased before the event. To review a sample of some of the bachelors and bachelorettes up for auction, check out the Project Cupid website. And, shamelessly, I must point out that I have also accepted an invitation to serve as a bachelor for the event, so come show some ONEin3 pride and help a great cause!
