Your neighborhood is your home base. In order to love Boston, you need to love your neighborhood and know what it can offer you. Here are some resources for getting involved, connected and inspired.
The Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS)
Your neighborhood liaison in the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS) is your direct link to Mayor Menino. Liaisons in ONS cover every neighborhood of Boston and the Asian, Cape Verdean, Latino, Lesbian and Gay, and Vietnamese communities of Boston. ONS exists to connect you with services and support in your hood.
Boston Centers for Youth and Families
Boston’s 38 Community Centers often have workout facilities, pools, conference rooms and function halls. Chances are, there’s one near you. Here’s the list for the City of Boston.
Mayor’s Office of New Bostonians was established in 1998 to meet the needs of the growing and changing immigrant and newcomer communities in Boston by improving New Bostonians’ access to city government, its services, and community resources.
